"Maturity Levels": from Poem book : Married to the DEVIL (2014)
--- With success comes certain sacrifice ,
with duty comes a sense of responsibility /
With maturity come greater intelligence,
that's why the Lord spared me from death in the Streets /
--- To be a leader of others...
Shepherd who leads his people into a better life /
Not a ignorant Nigga with a death wish,
who's only concerned with how his clothes look at the Bar, Friday nights //
--- It could of been ME.............
to fall victim of certain circumstance /
It could of been my mother who cried over a casket,
then turned to Alcohol -&- Drugs to cope with the way FATE dealt her a bad hand /
---- If a rose can grow from weeds...
thru concrete and gravel /
I can survive thru the hell of the ghetto,
then bloom into similar beautiful rose petals //
